Sunday, June 11, 2023, was an extraordinary day. The students finished one more stage to start a new one, a stage full of challenges and dreams. On this day, we graduated 11 students who entered high school and six high school students, with whom we said goodbye with a mixture of joy and sadness.

Bright School and Bright World Academy are magnets that attract talented children from all corners of Jakarta and even further afield. We are happy to know that some of these students—more than 30—are benefiting from the Bright School Scholarship program, which finances the next generation. This tells us that we have indeed practiced what we proclaim with our words, “Caring for the Next Generations,” for more than a decade, which is a legacy that inspires and moves us into the future.

This year’s theme was “Dream Big and Shine Bright.” We must have dreams and goals if we are ever going to achieve anything in this world. Let us be the dream. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “I have a dream.” He did not say, “I have a good idea.” Dreaming big does not just expand our world; it will also make our world an even better place. Shine bright like you always have.
